So who is Danny?
Daniel, or Danny as he's usually known lives in County Durham and attends a local Special Needs School.
Danny was diagnosed as suffering from ADHD ( Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) a few years ago.
This has meant that his school years have not been particularly easy, however now, with treatment and medication his condition has become more manageable.
In June 2008 Danny used some savings he had to by a 1998 CR 125 Moto X bike. After a short period getting used to the bike Danny started racing.
Within a short period of time it became apparent that Daniels behaviour and school work had improved dramatically, which could only be due to Moto X.
Danny lives with his dad Ian, who is a full time carer for Daniel, and we live on Benefits, which means funding the Moto X is very difficult.
Following a lot of research, e mails and phone calls, we have managed to secure some small amounts of funding and sponsorship, which allow Danny to continue in the sport.
Having seen the benefits for Daniel, we are keen to be able to continue with it, and as such are always seeking and further funding or sponsorship we can. Please feel free to contact us if you, or someone you know, might be able to assist in any way.
Because of the tremendous benefit we have seen it has had for Daniel, we are now in the process of setting up `Get On Track`, a Community Off Road Project for young people in County Durham. Further details to follow.
